Son shine Everyday!

Beautiful day today in Washington. It's been a long time since we've had a good sunny summer, but this year we have so much sun, it's been great!  I know that when the weather is this wonderful, it is difficult to get into God's Word. But a long with the sun we need the Son!  We only seem to search out the Son when things are gloomy and bleak. But we need both to sustain health physically and spiritually. Vitamin D3 keeps us from feeling depressed, but without The Son we start to feel spiritually dry, like the weathered grass. It's so parched from the sun it will catch fire easily. Think of The Son as our water that keeps us from becoming thirsty and dried out. I hope today we can take time in the early morning while drinking your coffee, you will open up God's Word and read the sunscreen you need for today. You need it daily or you will get sunburned.
Blessings to all of you and let the Son shine be the balm you need to keep you feeling spiritually healthy.

Provisions

Good morning to all, it's a beautiful sunny day. A deer just passed through my back yard and the birds are chirping and eating the seed I placed out there for them. I think they think it's like manna from heaven. God told us to take care of His creatures. I do daily, and it reminds me of how The Lord takes care of me. He gives me spiritual food for my soul daily. And He also gives me nourishment for my physical body daily. He has promised to send His provisions daily and He always comes through. Are you feeling provided for by His generous giving?  I hope so. If not, look around you and observe how He has provided for all His creatures. Do you have food for today? Do you have a roof over your head today? What about clothing for today? What about the grace He gives to you daily?  It is easy to forget that, until we really need it. Before I started to feed the birds, deer, raccoons, possums and squirrels, I never thought of the provisions I provide for God's creatures. Then I realized He does the same thing for all of us.
I hope this simple analogy will encourage you today. Take the provisions God has provided for you and share it with someone who might be having a hard time realizing what God has done for them. Fill them up with God's gift of provision.
Love in Christ, Sylvia
